Wild food moments from last week #1

Preparing a meal of rabbit, pigeon and venison for a group of hungry estate agents doing some team building in Riddy Wood last week. The muntjac you see hanging in the smoke of the camp fire was shot from among our freshly coppiced hazel which we needed to protect. 12 hours after it was shot everything that could be eaten was eaten and 48 hours later archaeology students from Reaseheath college had used the skin, brains, sinews and bones in a range of experimental archaeology projects.
