Sunday afternoon family forage

We went to feed the deer as a family today, having farmed deer is unusual in the UK and the children were delighted to see them up close. We took some time to pick some berries for jam and jelly making while we were out.
Some of the blackberries were a litte out of reach but nothing a lift on Mummy or Daddys shoulders couldn't solve.
We found some comfrey too.
The bulk of the harvest was blackberries and rosehips.

Apples and rhubarb from the garden for a crumble today and blackberries and rosehips for jelly making ready to sell at a farmers market.

Peter helped feed the deer.
