Date Night = Steak Night

Can't beat venison backstraps for a romantic dinner for two, foraged parasol mushrooms and salad complete the meal but we ate it before we could take any more pictures.

Goose and Pheasant Curry

A delicious curry of goose and pheasant. There aren't all that many wild greens at this time of year but we've got plenty of wild meat and fungi on the menu.

Banned from foraging !

I haven't been banned from foraging but THIS article in the independant talks about how some parks in London have banned people from foraging.

I'm torn by the news while I would hate to be restricted from foraging and am grateful for the freedom to pick a few mushrooms when I fancy it I am also distressed by the lack of respect some people show when foraging, people who might clear whole areas of mushrooms so they can sell them illegally. This practice not only leaves others without any opportunities to pick but also potentially removes the fungi before they have had a chance to spore and reduces the chances of seeing mushrooms there in the future.

This practice is also illegal if you are picking to sell without a landowners permission. There's two sides to it but it is inevitable in places as densely populated as London that limited resources will be over exploited so it's probably wise.
